The inaugural StoryFest was held in June 2019 and was an instant success. Attracting 580 patrons who bought more than 800 tickets, it instantly garnered a reputation with the storytelling community, that StoryFest was a welcoming place to come, and a brilliant festival to be part of. 

After a false start in 2020 due to the early impact of Covid, StoryFest 2021 snuck in before a nationwide lockdown, much to the relief of the organising committee and the delight of storytellers and audiences. The event doubled in size on almost every metric, creating a brilliant platform for the future of StoryFest. 

Under the guidance of a new committee, StoryFest 2023 was held across both Milton Theatre and the Ulladulla Civic Centre. With seven sell-out events and almost 3000 tickets sold, StoryFest confirmed its place as one of the leading regional writers’ festivals in Australia. We can't wait to see what StoryFest 2025 will bring.
